About Chad Fontana
Clinical Practice
Chad is originally from Monroe, Louisiana, and graduated from LSU Medical Center in 1999. Since then, he has relocated to Austin, where he has worked in orthopedics and sports medicine for over 20 years. Chad assists Dr. Kilbride in surgery, as well as providing excellent care of patients in the Austin Orthopedic Institute office. He specializes in joint injections, and educating patients about their orthopedic conditions.

Chad is dedicated to helping patients feel at ease during the surgical process – from start to finish. Whether that means explaining the surgical procedure and recovery process, or answering any questions the patient may have, Chad’s bedside manner never fails to give patients peace of mind.
Personal Story
Outside of work, Chad is passionate about fitness and health, woodworking, and grilling. His best buddy is his Golden Retriever, Cash. Chad’s favorite travel destination is Italy – it reminds him of his heritage, as well as growing up with a father who owned an Italian restaurant.
