Physician's Assistant

Career and Education

Damian’s journey as a Physician Assistant began during his military service in the United States Air Force. He graduated from the Interservice Physician Assistant Program in 2004 and then earned his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2006. He initially worked in the primary care specialty but soon realized he was interested in Orthopedic Surgery. This desire led to Damian completing a fellowship in Orthopedic Surgery from the Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium in 2009. After 21 years of active duty service, he retired in 2015 to join the civilian sector. He has worked in several orthopedic specialties over the years, including spine, sports, and total joint replacements. He has been a member of the provider pool for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, covering events for the moguls and snowboard cross teams.

Practice Philosophy

Damian believes in a no-nonsense approach to medicine: keep things simple and treat patients like you would your own family. This means always being honest with your care and routinely going the extra mile to give patients the reassurance that they need. He believes in the importance of earning patients’ trust and confidence, something he never takes for granted once achieved.

Personal Story

Damian is a native Texan originally from San Antonio. After years of relocating with the military, he and his family are happy to be back home in Texas. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, snowboarding, gardening, and, most of all, cooking and barbecuing with friends and family.
